Every site should have an art gallery I think. This one will eventually be mostly for my own paintings, but hopefully much more than that.

Unfortunately, I don't have any of my own work up here yet. But there are a few paintings from the Web Museum at the Louvre and from the Vincent van Gogh Gallery and Pages that you can enjoy.

Aptly titled, the Vermeer is a tribute to everything to do with painting, and all-in-all a tour-de-force of the painter's art. But most especially, and most sardonically, in the figure of the artist himself.

It's the classic "Bohemian" stereotype of the painter: beret, long hair, the whole bit, which apparently hasn't changed in over 300 years. You can't see his face, but I'll bet he has a beard.

And of course the typical painter's attitude towards life: his back to the world and his eye on a pretty girl.
